For those who are familiar with this, you would know that this is the time when we get to take a quick breather before the next round of roller coaster rides begins.
It's Week 12. Seems like only yesterday when I just joined this company. And now, it's almost 8 months already. Guess I'm lucky to have survived so far.
The team just had a celebration dinner for achieving the target for over 3 weeks in a row. Dinner was held at the Starview Restaurant and it was only a 5 dish course. How was it? It was good and really filling. Being a typical Chinese Course dinner, we started with the Appetizer/ Starter, followed by Sharks Fin Soup, then we had Fish Steamboat, Duck and finally a plate of vegetables which includes the ever slippery Sea Cucumber. **Wish I remembered to bring out my Camera.**
Dinner ended at 10:00PM, and I had to drop off two of my colleagues who hitched a ride in my car. One was because he was from KL and did not know where we were having dinner and the other is from Philipines. But, that's not the reason he hitched a ride with me.
My mentor has not been too happy of late. Why? Because, his grandmother whom he had to take care off for more than 6 months has just passed away. Now, he faces his favorite Aunty's mortality as she was just very recently diagnosed with Cancer. Sometimes, troubles/ griefs comes in pairs.
Well, that's his personal experience. In career, he was also just stabbed in the back by colleagues whom he was supposed to be close with. And that, affected the entire teams' rights in the system being revoked. Only time can tell how this will all end.
